Mainstreaming Mediation

We are so pleased that we are continuing, and growing, our presence within Iowa with students, attorneys, judges, and mediators. The Inns plans to build on its success with the introduction of our dinners and educational programs, networking opportunities, in addition to generally focusing on how we can increase awareness and prevalence of mediation and alternate dispute resolution into the mainstream of conflict and litigation resolution. We hope that you will join us!

What went well…

Strong, positive feedback and interest that mediation can, and should, be talked about in all its various forms and techniques.

Despite some dicey weather, last year we had four great dinner meetings with amazing speakers and opportunities to meet mediation professionals and Drake law students.

We saw that there was so much more we could do within Iowa and beyond.

What opportunities…

We want to focus on education, mentoring, and community.

So this year we are going to take advantage of available technology and offer a series of 9 podcasts this year for CLE credit. The podcasts along with our dinners should provide you with enough CLE hours for your Iowa requirement (including ethics)! Where else can you get your CLEs for our membership price???

Additionally, we hope to generate some web traffic and make the Inns more accessible and efficient. Take a look at our Facebook page! We welcome guest contributors for blog articles or topics for discussion, or questions for the group. You will also soon be invited to register for our Speaker’s Bureau.

We look forward to another year building and expanding the Inns of Mediation.
